Obituary

A memorial service will be held for Mr. Zunkle Sanford, age 69, of New Augusta at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 10, 2023 at Seminary Baptist Church.

Zunkle Sanford was called home to be with our Lord on April 6, 2023.  He was born on August 19, 1953 to Bertha and John L Sanford and raised in Perry County. Zunk was a kind and caring man who loved the Lord all of his life and touched the lives of all who knew him.  He was a faithful member of Seminary Baptist Church and a well respected and loved Sunday school teacher.  He was an avid turkey hunter and sportsman and was well known at Leaf River Forest Products.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Taffie Chandler Sanford.
He is survived by his wife, Patti Poole Sanford; children, Amy (Roy) Beall of Saucier, Jason McCombs of New Augusta, and Matthew "Skeeter" (Angie) Beall of New Augusta; grandchildren, Tyler (Kelli) Beall , Kalyn (James) McGrew, C J Eade, Jace McCombs, Kimberley Beall, Thomas Beall, Abigail Beall, and Henry Beall.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 10, 2023 from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. also at the church.
