Services for Mrs. Zettie Mae Tingle Bodie, age 93, of Hattiesburg, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Beaumont.  Mrs. Bodie passed from this life on September 18, 2024 at her residence.  Bro. Devon Byrd, Bro. Delton Parker, and Bro. John Sapp will officiate the service and burial will follow in God's Little Acre - Beaumont Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Seth Freeman, Kelcey Lee, Brian Hillman, Danny Parker, Kenneth "Banky" Freeman, Jesse James, with Gerald Windham as alternate. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Austin Williams, Gage Hillman, Cace Hillman, Cameron Hillman, Jason Parker, and Zach Bedwell.

Mrs. Bodie was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert "Hub" Tingle; second husband, Edwin Bodie; parents, Sidney Melton and Dona Elanor Byrd; sisters, Estelle Jordan, Edna Earl Byrd, and Lillian Lee; and brothers, Burley Byrd and Vernon "Pump" Byrd.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Joann (Robert) Freeman of Beaumont; son, Gregory Dewayne (Lisa) Tingle of Hattiesburg; granddaughter, Paige (Brian) Hillman of Petal; grandson, Seth (Allie) Freeman of Prattville, AL; great grandsons, Austin Williams of Ocean Springs, Gage Hillman of Petal, Cace Hillman of Petal, and Cameron Hillman of Hattiesburg; great granddaughters, Heidi Freeman, Lilly Freeman, and Landree Freeman, all of Prattville, AL; sister, S.M. Penton of Beaumont; and a host of nieces and nephews.
