It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Willie Faye Patterson, "Granny" beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, who left us peacefully at the age of 91.  A celebration of Granny's life will be held on at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Beaumont.  Burial will follow the celebration in Beaumont Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Craig Patterson, Quaid Patterson, Brantley Pipkins, Kameron Breland, Connor Sullivan, and Brody Lott.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Greg Shows, Bo Breland, Chad Sullivan, Brent Lott, Braxton Patterson, Anthony Beasley, Spencer Breland, Hunter Beard, Braxton Lott, Matt Dubose, Jaxon Lott, Lucas Patterson, Alden Beasley, and Sawyer Patterson.

Willie Faye was born in Tickfaw, Louisiana.  During her lifetime, Granny lived in California where she and Cebo followed their friend, Ed Clark, on his music tour. They later followed Uncle Pat and Uncle Ray to Illinois, where they lived and raised their family until they brought their family back to Mississippi in 1969.  Granny cooked for most of the community and travelers passing through Beaumont at the 4 Star Café.

Granny loved to attend sporting events, church lunches, and bossing everyone around.  She loved to run the roads with anyone that would take her.  She lived her life one penny at a time.

She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her love for her family, cooking, and unsolicited opinions.  No one had to speculate what was on Granny's mind.

Granny was preceded in death by her husband, John Cebo Patterson; daughter, Nan Lyles; sisters, Tommie Jean Dykes and Frankie Aycock; brothers, Woodie Compton and James Edward Compton; and parents, John and Lucille Compton.

She is survived by her children, Jeanie (John) Breland, Tony (Belinda) Patterson, Rickey Patterson, and James Ray (Cindy) Patterson; and her cherished grandchildren, Wendy (Greg) Shows, Terri (Bo) Breland, Craig (Javi) Patterson, Krisy (Chad) Sullivan, CJ (Brent) Lott, Quaid Patterson, Braxton (Audra) Patterson, Madalene Patterson, Allison (Anthony) Beasley, and Destiny (Raymond) Mills. She also leaves behind great grandchildren, Brantley Pipkins, Bayleigh Pipkins, Spencer (Faith) Breland, Kameron (Chasady) Breland, Lucas Patterson, Emmie Patterson, Connor Sullivan, Kenzie Sullivan, Braxton Lott, Matt Dubose, Brody Lott, Jaxon Lott, Sawyer Patterson, Alden Beasley, Hunter Beard, and Rayley Mills; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024  from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Beaumont.
