Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2022, at Arlington Baptist Church in Beaumont for Mr. William Jackson "W.J." Jordan, age 82, of Beaumont who passed from this life on August 27, 2022, at Asbury Hospice House. Bro. Herbert Wiggers will officiate with burial to follow in the Arlington Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Herring, Wade Herring, Lance Wells, Dillon Wells, Austin Jordan and Justin Jordan.

W.J. was a member of the Arlington Baptist Church. He was a retired logger and Fire Chief at the Arlington Fire Department for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Avis Lanell "Duck" Jordan; parents, Isom and Nevada Jordan; daughter, Carol Jordan and several sisters and brothers.

He is survived by his son, Jay McKinley (Jennifer) Jordan of Petal; grandchildren, Megan (Garrett) Parsons of West VA, Austin Jordan (Brandi Sims) of Petal, Montanna (Barry) Gibson of Alaska, Laura Jordan of Petal, Justin (Emily) Jordan of Hattiesburg and Mela Jordan of Petal; great-grandchildren, Breana Allsworth of TX, Abigail Parsons of West VA, Brayden Jordan of Petal, Jordan Parsons of West VA, Garrett Parsons of West VA, McKenLeigh Gibson of Alaska, Walker Jordan of Petal, Maddox Gibson of Alaska and brother, L.N. (Melba) Jordan of Beaumont.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. Monday August 29, 2022, at the Arlington Baptist Church.

Jones and Son Funeral Home of Richton is in charge of the services.
