Services for Mr. William Gleason Walters, age 91, of Ovett will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton.  Mr. Walters passed from this life on February 6, 2025 in Laurel, Mississippi.  Burial will follow in Lloyd Walters Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Malone, Nathan Miller, Lynn Miller, Liedon Omer, Brandon Walters, and Alex Walters.

Mr. Walters was a life-long resident of  Jones County and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.  He retired in 1996 from the Essmueller Company in Laurel after 25 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Chester and Amanda Marie Walters; son, Michael Walters; and daughter, Kathy Cox.

He is survived by his son, William Ray (Christy) Walters of Seminary; daughters, Deborah (Prega) Gounden of Jefferson City, TN and Twila (Ricky) Fennell of Sevierville, TN; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; son-in-law, Terrell Cox of Sevierville, TN; and brothers, Douglas Walters and Jesse Walters, both of Mesquite, TX.
