Services for Mr. William Shows, age 75, of Richton, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Buck Creek Baptist Church.  Mr. Shows passed from this life on August 30, 2024 at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg.  Bro. Greg Hodge and Bro. Thomas Cochran will officiate the service and burial will follow in Buck Creek Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Zach Stevens, Blake Reyer, Conner Rutherford, Ethan McLeod, Lee Lewis, Don McLeod, and James Clark, Jr. as alternate.

Mr. Shows worked most of his life as a logger and a farmer.  He was a member of Christ First Ministry.  He enjoyed hunting and horses. He adored his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Shows; parents, William Roland and Bernice Shows; stepmother,  Marguerite Shows; sisters, Doris Shows and Patsy Clark; and brothers, Thurman Shows and Jake Pickett.

He is survived by his children, Tina (Alton) Holder of Richton, Kevin (Cassie) Shows of Richton, Roland "Slugger" (Christie) Shows of Richton, Diane Evans of Richton, Tom (Kim) Pipkins of Petal, Debbie (Shawn) Minter of Richton, and Ollie (Jennifer) Pipkins of Moselle; grandchildren, Chasity (Chris), Vallerie, Starla, Abby, Tucker, Cayne, Montana, Kaley, Codey (Emily), Austin, Hallie (Kacie), Tyler, Kristian (Reign), Jessica, Laken, Dylan, Dustin (Renee), Braxton, and Levi; great grandchildren, Harley, Harmonie, Haven, Tinsley, Rustlynn, Gracelyn, Joycelynn, Kadey, Brodey, Brayden, Westlynn, Wesson, Walker, Waylon, Jaya, Lana, Brandon, Luke, Paislee, Blazedon, Buck, Waylon, and Grace; and brother, Albert (Diane) Shows of Richton.
