Services for Mr. William "Buddy" Love, age 86, of Richton, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Loop Road Baptist Church in Richton.  Mr. Love passed from this life on August 9, 2026 at his residence.  Bro. Gerald Sanders will officiate the service and burial will follow in Family Circle Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Marvin Harvison, Chris Hall, Bo Patrick, Matthew Watson, Tim Strickland, Dan Jones, and Danny Griffith as alternate.

Buddy spent most of his career in the retail business. He worked both as a self-employed grocery retail distributor and with several corporate firms throughout the years. His dedication to his work was an important part of his life, and he took pride in the relationships and experiences he gained along the way.

Above all, Buddy cherished his family. He enjoyed spending time with those he loved and treasured the moments they shared together. His family was a source of great joy and will carry his memory with them always.  He was also a proud and enthusiastic Florida Gators fan. He enjoyed cheering on the Gators and sharing his love for the team with family and friends.

Buddy leaves behind a legacy of hard work, family, loyalty, and love. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Leida Love; and sister, Lois Baxter.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Diane P. Love of Richton; children, Mike Love of Pensacola, FL, Mitch Love of Biloxi, Michelle Love of Eight Mile, AL, and Mindy Love of Eastabuchie; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and sisters, Gypsie Dawson of Citrus Springs, FL and Nita Jolley of Tampa, FL.
