Graveside services for Mr. William E. Jones, age 82, of Hattiesburg, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Grantham Cemetery in Hattiesburg. Mr. Jones passed from this life on April 4, 2026.Bro. Greg Bennett will officiate the service.  Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Bond, Randy Smith, Richard Stuart, Joseph Farve, James Graham, Robert Bartek, and Allen Stuart.

Mr. Jones was a lifelong resident of the Oak Grove community. He married the love of his life, Shelia D. Jones, in 1974, and together they raised three daughters. He was a proud United States Navy veteran and had a deep love for the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelia D. Jones; seven sisters; and one brother.

He is survived by his daughters, Pamela Roberts of Petal, Melanie Stanley of Purvis, and Patty Traylor of Hattiesburg; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
