Graveside services for Mr. William Lavon Felts, age 91, of Richton, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Felts-Young Cemetery in Richton.  Mr. Felts passed from this life on May 23, 2026 in Hattiesburg.  Bro. Chris Freeman will officiate the service.  Serving as pallbearers will be Al Felts, Alex Felts, Jaden Felts, Noah Wade, Luke Caldwell, and Buddy Waites with Duane "Curly" Mayo and Benny Lane as alternates.

Mr. Felts was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He dearly loved fishing, spending time outdoors, and relaxing on the front porch swing where he welcomed family, friends, and neighbors for long conversations and cherished visits. His warm spirit, quiet strength, and love for those around him will be remembered by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelia Felts Young; parents, Preston and Esula Felts; and brother, James L. "Roy" Felts.

He is survived by his son, Wayne (Trish) Felts of Richton; son-in-law, Bobby (Deb) Young; grandchildren, Al (Leslie) Felts and Alex (Amber) Felts; bonus grandchild, Grace Waites; great-grandchildren, Noah (Megan), Jaden (Candace), Luke, and Adalee Grace; great-great-grandchildren, Joyner and Briar; sister, Retha Jean Stutie of Lawrenceville, Georgia; and special friend, Ann Hinton, along with many other relatives and dear friends who will cherish his memory for years to come.
