Services for Mr. William Edward "Edd" Mills, age 85, of Jackson, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Jones & Son Chapel in Richton.  Mr. Mills passed from this life on April 17, 2026 at his residence.   Richard Grindstaff will officiate the service and burial will follow in the Sand Hill Latter-Day Saints Cemetery.

Mr. Mills worked for many years as a court reporter before joining Armstrong Industries in Jackson, where he dedicated over 20 years of service and retired as a shift leader. He found great joy in playing the guitar and spending time with his family. Known for his curious and hands-on nature, he could often be found tinkering and working on mechanical projects.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Nathan Melton; and parents, John H. and Janie Mills.

Mr. Mills is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Beverly Mills of Jackson; children, Lisa (Michael) Melton of Madison and Keith Mills of Jackson; grandchildren, Phillip Mills and Austin Melton; and brother, Lawrence "Larry" Mills.
