Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2024, in the Jones and Son Chapel of Moselle for Mr. William "Bill" Smith, age 57, of Moselle. Mr. Smith passed from this life on September 19, 2024, at Forrest General Hospital. Bro. Patrick Patterson and Bro. Nathan Brown will officiate with the burial to follow in the Moselle Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Wayne Patterson, Randy Patterson, Tyler Clark, Russell Clark, William Wooten and Kevin Thornton. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Walters and Josh Beech.

Bill was born on April 30, 1967, to William Ray and Dollie June Smith. He was a member and deacon of Charity Baptist Church. He was an equipment operator for over 20 years. Mr. Smith was an avid deer hunter, fisherman and enjoyed sports that included dirt track racing. He coached football at Moselle and baseball at Ellisville and Petal. He was a firefighter for many years with the Moselle Volunteer Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Melvin Ray Wright.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Smith of Moselle; daughter, Kayla (Jamie) Wooten of Moselle; son, Josh (Lindsey) Robinson of Taylorsville; grandchildren, Kelsey (Noah) Delk, Jamatha Wooten, William Wooten, all of Moselle and Chloe Robinson of Taylorsville; great-grandson, Greyson Delk of Moselle; sister, Alice (David) Jordan of Magee; brothers, Dennis Smith of Collins and Steven Solomon of Gouldbusk, TX; and a host of other relatives.

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Moselle.
