Services for Mr. William "Pop" Beard, age 75, of Lucedale, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Leakesville First Assembly of God.  Mr. Beard passed from this life on April 26, 2023 at his residence.  Bro. Bruce Walley will officiate the service with burial to follow in Winborn Chapel Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be William Hensley, Douglas Young, Logan Marsh, Trevor Hensley, John Marsh, and Micaela Hensley with Morgan Hensley and Kristen Young as alternates.

Mr. Beard worked for many years as a boilermaker.  He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his four wheeler.

Mr. Beard was preceded in death by his daughter, LaDonna Beard Young; parents, Wilson and Mary Beard; brothers, Jimmy, Ray and Ike; and sisters, Betty Lou and Martha.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Beard; daughter, Paula (Merle) Hensley; sons, William (Micaela) Hensley, Douglas (Kristen) Young, and Trevor (Morgan) Hensley; daughter, Logan (John) Marsh; village, Randy (Sherry) Green and Gracie (Quinn) Erkhart; sister, Myrtis (Randy) West; step-wife, Diane Sanders; and great grandchildren, Lyla Jane, Lawson (Slick), Jase (Jake), and Nellie.

Visitation for Mr. Beard will start at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Leakesville First Assembly of God.
