First Pentecostal Church, McLain

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the First Pentecostal Church in McLain for Mr. Wilburn Jerome Parker, age 70, of McLain.  Mr. Parker passed from this life on August 6, 2022 at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg.  Bro. Marc Rutland will officiate the service with burial to follow in Progress Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Dakota Lockley, Jerome Parker, Travis Parker, Ryan Parker, Landon Parker, Jessie Ray Cowart, David Barrentine, and Kevin Cowart.

Mr. Parker was a member of First Pentecostal Church in McLain.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the AmVets.  He was a welder and a mechanic for many years.

Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Betty Ann Parker; brothers, Billy Ray Parker and Jerry Wayne Parker; and sister, Marlene Freeman.

He is survived by his wife, Gwendel Parker of McLain; children, Jerome (Bethany) Parker of McLain, Terry Paul Parker of Elberta, AL, Katrina (Tyler) Parker of Elberta, AL, Kendall Parker of McLain, and Holly (Dakota) Lockley of Lucedale; brothers, Allen (Kimberly) Parker of Sunrise, William Edward (Janet) Parker of Leakesville, Richard (Reesa) Parker of Beaumont, and Bobby Alonzo (Tonya) Parker of Lucedale; grandchildren, Travis Parker, Tyler Presswood, Jr., Destiny Presswood, Kayden Parker, Kailye Parker, Gandon Hyatt, Brailynn Hyatt, Brinsyn Falls, and Kason Lockley; and a host of other family and numerous friends.
