Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2023, in the Moselle Memorial Gardens Cemetery for Mr. Walter Arden Weeks, Jr., age 86, of Moselle. Mr. Weeks went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 16, 2023 at his residence. Dr. Keith Thompson will officiate the service with a burial to follow. Pallbearers will be Jacob Carter, Joshua Carter, Henry Carter, Dewey Carter, Danny Austin and Ronald McCardle.

Arden was a member and deacon of the Moselle Memorial Baptist Church. He retired from Exxon as a plant manager after many years of service. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam war.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shelby Cheeks Weeks and second wife, Marilyn Weeks; son, Anthony Weeks and daughter, Tambra Carter.

He is survived by his grandsons, Jacob Arden and Joshua Robert Carter both of Mobile, AL; step-granddaughters, Anna Carol Mabry Simpson, Ella Grace Mabry and Emma Kate Mabry all of Petal; stepson, Curt (Jill) Mabry of Bangkok, Thailand and son-in-law, Henry Carter of Mobile, AL.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Moselle.
