Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2026, in the Jones and Son Chapel of Moselle for Mr. Timothy "Tim" McGee, age 47, of Hattiesburg. Tim went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 17, 2026. Bro. Tyler Turner will officiate with burial to follow in the Walters Cemetery of Seminary.

Timothy "Tim" was born at Singing River Hospital during hurricane season 1979. Tim's arrival along with damage caused by Hurricane Fredrick made it necessary for his family to relocate to Covington County in Seminary, MS where he spent his childhood fishing, swimming and being taken care of by his three older sisters, Chris, Jimmie Renae and Melissa Ann McGee. He attended Seminary Attendance Center until relocating in 1991 to South Jones Middle School where he would finish his education and graduate from South Jones High School on May 29, 1997. He was a member of Lowery Creek Baptist Church of Seminary, MS where he enjoyed years of Vacation Bible School and Sunday School while growing up there.

He and Melissa were involved in many extracurricular activities. They would take dance classes together and perform with their group from Covington County Cloggers. They were the best of friends doing life together until Melissa's death in 1995. Tim became a welder's assistant working in Denver, Colorado until January 1st, 2020, when he became disabled after an automobile accident.

Tim was the most generous, fun loving, artistic, cat loving person in the world. He loved his family with all his heart and will be dearly missed by them all in the days to come.

He was preceded in death by sister, Melissa Ann McGee; grandmother, Sue Smith; great-grandparents, Coon and Arvada Jeffcoat; grandmother, Faye J. McGee and uncle, Dan McGee.

Tim is survived by his parents, Terry Ance and Mildred Dianne McGee of Moselle; sisters, Christina (Sean) Brace of Ellisville, Jimmie Renae McGee Tisdale of Moselle; lifelong friend, Kim Ousely of Hattiesburg; nieces and nephews, Alyssa and Emily Brace, Jasmine Howard, Alex (Abbie) Tisdale, Ryan (Haley) Tisdale and Luke Tisdale; great-nephew, Aiden Tisdale; great-niece, Olivia Tisdale; uncle, Speedy (Roxanne) McGee of Hattiesburg; aunts, Annette Chancellor of Collins and Marsha Lynn Tolbert of Yuba City, California and cousins, Jamie Scott (Leo) and Jerame Tolbert.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at the Jones and Son Funeral Home of Moselle.
