Thomas "Garrett" Owens, beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away on June 15, 2026, leaving a space in the lives of his family that can never be filled.  Born on December 9, 1990, Garrett brought light, laughter, and a spirit uniquely his own to everyone who knew him.

Garrett was known for his kind heart, quick wit, and the way he made people feel seen and valued. Whether he was sharing a joke, offering a helping hand, or simply being present, he had a gift for lifting the spirits of those around him.  His passions, his curiosity, and his unmistakable sense of humor made him unforgettable.  He loved to fly fish the beautiful streams and rivers and hunt the mountains of Montana where he grew up.

In the days before his passing, Garrett shared with his dad a deeply meaningful affirmation — that Jesus Christ was his Lord and Savior.  This confession of faith brings comfort and hope to those who loved him, knowing he is now held in the eternal peace of God's presence.

He cherished his family deeply.  Garrett is survived by his father, Bruce Owens; his mother, Pam; his grandmother, Martha Owens; his brothers, John Bell and his wife Jenny, and Allen Bell and his wife Camille; uncles and aunts and cousins.  He also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews, Hanna, Lovella, Trevin, and Kadin, each of whom brought him joy and carried a special place in his heart.

Though his time with us was far too short, the impact of his life will endure.  We will remember his smile, his laughter, and the warmth he shared so freely.  His memory will continue to guide us, comfort us, and remind us of the love he gave so generously.

A word from his parents' hearts:
Garrett, you were a gift to us from the moment we first held you.  You filled our lives with joy, surprises, and a love that changed us forever.  We are grateful for every laugh, every conversation, every moment we were blessed to share with you.  Though our hearts ache, we hold tight to the promise that this goodbye is not the end.  We will carry your memory with us until the day we see you again in the presence of our Savior.  You will always be our son, always loved, always missed, and forever held in our hearts.

A service to honor Garrett's life will be held at Hope Baptist Church in Milltown, Montana, at a later date.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in Garrett's memory can be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Grove, MS or Hope Baptist Church in Milltown, MT.
