Graveside services for Mrs. Theda Newell, age 67, of Ovett, will be held at 11:00 a.m.,  Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Tiger Creek Cemetery. Bro. David Brewer and Bro. Tub Nicholson will officiate the service.  Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Newell, Lewis Clifton, Kacie Hinton, Byron Nicholson, Eddy Anderson, James Dickerson, Kevin Byrd, and Aubrey Brewer.

Mrs. Newell was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Ovett.

Mrs. Newell was preceded in death by her parents, Stover Brewer and Zeline Dickinson; brother, Joe Dickinson; and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Newell of Ovett; children, Kenneth Newell and Renee (Kevin) Byrd, both of Ovett; grandchildren, Jaden Byrd and Jerrett Byrd, both of Ovett and Addyson Shipley of Florida; and brothers, Randy Dickinson and Glenn Dickinson, both of Alabama.
