Services for Mrs. Sylvia Smith, age 81, of Leakesville, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Leakesville.  Mrs. Smith passed from this life on November 6, 2025.  Bro. Robert Kirkland, Bro. Greg Foster, and Rev. Glenn Freeman will officiate the service and burial will follow in Mutual Rights Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Ellzey, Matthew Smith, Brantley Smith, Cade Smith, Jackson Smith, and Nickel Smith.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Anderson, Reese Green, Connor Green, and Abel Daley.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Darwin Smith; parents, Wingro and Lodell Roberts; brother, Douglas Roberts; and brothers-in-law, Max Brown and Anthony Smith.

She is survived by her children, Winette (Sharrod) Denmark, Melana (Rex) Ellzey, Therrel (Cindy) Smith, and Coleman (Jennifer) Smith, all of Leakesville; grandchildren, Tara (Stephen) Smoak, Ryan Ellzey, Matthew (Holly) Smith, Dani (Jacob) Martin, Anna (Ethan) Walley, Abbie (Broc) Walley, Brantley (Madeline) Smith, Cade Smith, Jackson (Abby) Smith, Nickel Smith, Anthony (Alicia) Anderson, Reese (Kait) Green, and Connor Green, all of Leakesville; great grandchildren, McKenna, Abel, Natalee, Koe, Kase, River, Ridgely, Dalyss, Blakely, Rhen, Brix, Kamie, Allie, Kaylee, Cilla, Oakland, Myles, Elijah, and Lilly; great-great grandchild, Nolan; sisters, Linda Brown and Kathy Roberts, both of Leakesville; and sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Ed) Powell of Belle Chasse, LA and Hilda Smith of Leakesville.
