Services for Mrs. Sue Byrd, age 77, of Leakesville, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Mt. Calvary United Pentecostal Church.  Mrs. Byrd passed from this life on August 29, 2023.  Bro. Jim Bo Roberts will officiate the service and burial will follow in the Byrd Family Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Pulliam, Jacob Pulliam, Issac Byrd, Jr., Chris Wilson, Blake Bufkin, and Bailey Pulliam.

Mrs. Byrd was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all.  She dearly loved her family and spending time with them.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Ronnie Joe Byrd; and parents, Edwin and Docia McLeod.

She is survived by her daughters, Lajuana (Andy) Pulliam and Tracy Jo Byrd, both of Pleasant Hill; son, Issac (Jessica) Byrd of Pleasant Hill; grandchildren, Tony (Lineta) Pulliam, Jacob (Hannah) Pulliam, Blake (Courtney) Bufkin, Chris Wilson, Issac Byrd, Jr., and Cassi Byrd; great grandchildren, Bailey, Anna Claire, Caroline, Lauren Grace, Kaleb, and Hope; sisters, Audrey (Mike) Stringfellow of Lucedale, Faye (Mack) Stewart of Leakesville, Jewel (Athen) Kittrell of State Line, Doris Mixon of Leakesville; and brother, Glen (Brenda) McLeod of Quitman.
