Services for Mr. Stephen Marvin Brewer will be held at 12:00 p.m.,Thursday, September 26, 2024  at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton. Rev. Barry Worrell will officiate the service and brief graveside service will follow at Union Cemetery. Stephen "Steve" Brewer passed away in the early morning hours of September 22, 2024 in his Mobile, Alabama home.

Steve was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him. He was born on March 17, 1947 to Marvin and Adina Brewer; he was the eldest of six children, a loyal and devoted big brother to five sisters. He married Joyce Walley Brewer in 1969, and they had two children, nine grandchildren, and a beautiful life together. He loved spending time with his family, and was a proud home builder who built his own business with his wife from the ground up. He loved to travel with his wife and could almost always be found with a cup of unsweet tea nearby.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Adina Brewer.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Joyce Walley Brewer; his son Eric Brewer (Tonya Brewer, deceased); his daughter, Lydia Brewer Poole (Darrel Poole); his nine grandchildren, Dillan Brewer, Madison Brewer (Mohammad Taher), Savanna Brewer Hauser (Jethro Hauser), Annaka Brewer (Matthew Bentz), Breanna Poole, Brian Poole, Harrison Poole, Ben Brewer, and Rachel Poole; and his five sisters.

The family asks in lieu of flowers donations be sent to the American Heart Association.

Visitation will be held on September 26th, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Jones and Son Funeral Home.
