Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2022 at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, for Mr. Stanley Yawn, age 73, of Purvis.  Mr. Yawn passed from this life on November 17, 2022 at his residence.  Bro. Ben Bedwell will officiate the service with burial to follow in Cherished Acres Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Matthew Carr, Hank Carr, Brandon Broome, Gary Yawn, Sam Bennett, Archie Rutland, Russell Graves, and Dade Gaspard.

Mr. Yawn was a retired logger.

Mr. Yawn was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Granny Della Yawn; sisters, Louise Madden and Clara Fagan; and brothers, Leon Yawn, Randolph Yawn, and Johnny Wayne Yawn.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Yawn of Purvis; son, James Stanley Yawn II of Purvis; daughter, Tanya Rechelle (Jon) Pellissier of Bryant, AR; grandchildren, James Edward Michael (Karla) Yawn of Collins, Hunter Lance Jackson of Purvis, and Trevor Blane Jackson of Purvis; great grandchild, Samuel Alan Yawn of Collins; brothers, Austin Yawn of Hattiesburg, Herbert Ray (Orlis) Yawn of Purvis, and Richard Harvey (Pat) Yawn of Stapleton, AL; sisters, Frances Marie Rutland and Shirley Ann (John) Boleware, both of Sumarll; and a host of other relatives.
