Services for Mrs. Shirley Jean Powe Brooker, age 70, of Richton will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton.  Mrs. Brooker passed from this life on August 27, 2023.  Bro. Lavon "Buddy" Smith will officiate the service and burial will follow in Eastside Baptist Church Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Timmy Powe, Caden Denmark, Byron Walley, Kermit Morris, Kirkland Morris, and Danny Walley.

Mrs. Brooker was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Ulmer and Olean Powe; and sister, Lynn Morgan.

She is survived by her sons, Chris (Brenda) Walley, Richard (Tera) Walley, and Neal Walley, all of Richton; grandchildren, Byron Walley, Shaley (M.J.) McCarty, Gen Walley, Nikki Walley, Maci Walley, and Hailey Walley; great grandchildren, Nathan McCarty and Robin McCarty; twin brother, Gerald (Sharon Kay) Powe of Richton; and sister, Pat Walley of Richton.
