INTERMENT:  Edwards Cemetery

Graveside services for Mrs. Shirley Ann Freeman Edwards, age 83, of Richton will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2024 at Edwards Cemetery in Richton.  Mrs. Edwards passed from this life on November 4, 2024 at her residence.  Bro. Sean Piper will officiate the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Kee Dykes, Kyle McMurry, Austin McMurry, Taler Dykes, Hunter Dykes, and Canton McMurry.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Carson McMurry, Hendrixx Dykes, John Reid Coleman, and Liam Jones.

Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ray Edwards; daughter, Celia Ann James; parents, Loarn and Georgia Faye Freeman; and sister, Charlotte Freeman.

She is survived by her daughter, Shelia Rae (Joe) McMurry, Jr. of Richton; son, Darrick Edwards of Richton; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie Latham of Richton and Hortense McLain of Richton; and brother, Norbert Freeman of Richton.

Mrs. Shirley's family would like to invite everyone to a time of fellowship immediately after the service at Central Missionary Baptist Chuch of Richton.
