Graveside services for Mr. Shelton Anderson, age 82, of State Line, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Clarks Chapel Cemetery in State Line.  Mr. Anderson passed from this life on April 3, 2026 in Hattiesburg.  Bro. Shawn Bile will officiate the service.   Serving as pallbearers will be Robbie Green, Brian Smith, Brett Anderson, Andrew Anderson, Chase Greene, and Adam Greene.

Mr. Anderson leaves behind a legacy of hard work, devotion to family, and a willingness to help others. He was known throughout his community as a dependable and skilled handyman, someone who could fix just about anything and was always ready to lend a helping hand.  He worked with Singing River Electric for several years before dedicating his career to the chicken house construction business, where he became well known for his craftsmanship and strong work ethic.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Paulette Anderson; son, Paul Anderson; and parents, Archie and Vivian Anderson.

He is survived by his children, Pete Anderson of State Line, Gene (Prissy) Anderson of Wade, Sherry (Brian) Smith of State Line, Kim (Robbie) Green of Deer Park, AL, and George Anderson of State Line;  10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and mother-in-law, Maude Massey.

Mr. Anderson will be remembered for his kindness, his dedication to his family, and the countless ways he helped those around him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
