INTERMENT:  Buck Creek Cemetery

Graveside services for Mr. Shannon Byrd, age 55, of Richton, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 20. 2025 at Buck Creek Cemetery.  Mr. Byrd passed from this life on September 16, 2025 in Jackson, Mississippi.  Bro. Herbert Wiggers and Bro. Don Fulmer will officiate the service.  Serving as pallbearers will be Colton Byrd, Zachary Cole, Matthew Stringfellow, Kenneth Stringfellow, Phillip Cole, Craig Davis, and Jody Lyons as alternate.

Mr. Byrd worked as a Pipefitting Supervisor for D & V Services.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Wayne Byrd.

He is survived by his parents, Sherron Wayne and Betty Byrd of Richton; sister, Sharon Darlene (Kenneth) Stringfellow of Ovett; best friend, Shane Boleware of Richton, niece, D'Ann (Craig) Davis of New Augusta; and nephews, Zachary Cole, Phillip Cole, Colton Byrd, and Matthew Stringfellow, all of Ovett.
