Services for Mrs. Sandra Mayo Gieger, age 68, of Richton, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Eastside Baptist Church in Richton.  Mrs. Gieger passed from this life on January 15, 2024.  Bro. Chris Freeman and Bro. Mark Ford will officiate the service and burial will follow in Eastside Baptist Church Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Duane Mayo, Andy Mayo, Matt Ely, Myles Mayo, Landon Mayo, and Jeremy Ely.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Mayo, Derrick Carter, Brandon Munn, and Tony Myers.

Sandra was a member of Eastside Baptist Church of Richton.  She was a tax preparer for over 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth D. Walley; parents, Commodore and Mary Lynn Mayo; husband, Thomas "Glenn" Matthews; husband, Rev. James "Jimmy" W. Gieger; and grandson, William "Darren" Walley.

She is survived by her sons, Tyson Walley and Tim (Kasey) Walley, both of Richton; grandchildren, Kelby R. Walley of Etta, Torrie K. Walley (Martin) Pitts of Guntown, Elvin Tyson "T.J." Walley, Jr., Taylea Cline Walley, Thomas Commodore Walley, and Beckham Haze Walley, all of Richton; great grandchildren, Randy Joseph "RJ" Walley, Peyton Pitts, and Noah Pitts; siblings, Robert D. (Janet) Mayo, Teresa L. (Mike) Ely, William Anthony (Teresa) Mayo, and Shepard Derane (Christy) Mayo, all of Richton; and special friend, Alana Touchstone Guinn of Richton.
