A graveside memorial service will be held at Henderson Cemetery at a later date for Mrs. Sally M. Henderson, age 86, of Hattiesburg.  Mrs. Henderson passed from this life on December 18, 2022 at George County Regional Hospital.

Sally was born in Greene County to Clarence and Ida Hinton.  She retired as a nurse after raising her family in the Piave community.  She was accomplished at anything involving a needle and thread, winning grand prizes for her quilts, and most sought after baby quilts.  Sally was an avid gardener and grew the best tomatoes that ever lay between two slices of bread.  She was a member of Piave Baptist Church.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Henderson; son, Dr. Hardy Henderson; daughter, Dr. Judy Ekes; grandson, Josh Ekes; two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her son, Mark (Teresa) Henderson of Petal; granddaughters, Chloe (Sheldon) Lowe and Anna (Luke) Smith; two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
