Services for Mr. Roy Lott, age 83, of Sumrall, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 8, 2026 at West Black Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sumrall.  Mr. Lott passed from this life on June 4, 2026 at his residence.  Bro. Kevin Bond, Bro. Joe Lott, and Bro. Brent King will officiate the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Clay Lott, Corey Paul Bond, Jason Walters, Brandon Bond, Ben Guthrie, and Barney Poole III.  Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Mike Miller.

Mr. Lott retired as a maintenance foreman from South Mississippi Electric Power Association following 27 years of faithful and dedicated service. Known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to excellence, he earned the respect and admiration of his coworkers throughout his career.  A devoted Christian, Mr. Lott was a faithful member of West Black Creek Missionary Baptist Church, where he worshiped and served alongside his church family for many years. He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially fishing, woodworking, and spending time outdoors. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family. Whether sharing stories, offering guidance, or simply enjoying their company, he was happiest when surrounded by those he loved. His quiet strength, kind heart, and unwavering devotion to his faith and family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

Mr. Lott will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his devotion to his faith, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Jewel Lott.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia Lott of Sumrall; son, Phil (Alisa) Lott of Sumrall; daughter, Lori (Tommy) Bond of Sumrall; grandchildren, Cayla (Jason) Walters, Clay (Stephanie) Lott, and Kevin (Heather) Bond; great-grandchildren, Logan, Laken, Corey, Paul, Weston, Jenna, Kye, Noah, and Leah; and sister, Kaye (Randy) Stringer of Columbia.
