Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Tuckers Crossing Baptist Church for Mrs. Roxie Porter, age 48, of Ellisville who went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 9, 2022. Bro. Wade Bush will officiate with burial to follow in the Ellisville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ryan Richardson, John Howard Robertson, Caleb Walters, Clay Whitt, Brad Smith and Justin Tyler.

Roxie was a homeschool mom/teacher for her children and was very active in the Classical Conversations Homeschool Co-op. She owned Briar Patch Soap Company for over 20 years. She was a member of Tuckers Crossing Baptist Church and was active in helping her husband, Frank, with his work at the Baptist Student Union at Jones College. She previously served as a campus minister at Seattle Central and Bellevue Community Colleges.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Ann Smith. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Frank Porter of Ellisville; children, Camille Porter and John Porter both of Ellisville; father, Don Smith of Ellisville and sisters, Rilda Smith of Shawnee, OK and Robin Jordan of Hickory, MS.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Tuckers Crossing Baptist Church.

Jones and Son Funeral Home of Moselle is in charge of services.
