Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Sylvester Cemetery for Mr. Ronald Keith O'Neal, age 71, who passed from this life on April 10, 2026 at his residence.

Mr. O'Neal, a devoted nurse and beloved family man, passed away after a life marked by service, passion, and dedication to others. He worked as a nurse for over 30 years throughout the Mobile, Alabama area, where he made a lasting impact on countless patients and colleagues. His commitment to the nursing profession extended beyond his daily work as he was instrumental in helping establish nursing schools in both Pensacola and Birmingham, leaving a legacy that will continue to shape future generations of healthcare providers.  Outside of his career, Mr. O'Neal had a deep love for motorcycles and found great joy in working on them. He was also a die hard Alabama football fan, rarely missing a chance to cheer on his team.

Mr. O'Neal's life was one of compassion, hard work, and unwavering devotion to family, friends, and community.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Virginia Nan O'Neal; parents, James Albert O'Neal and Nan Gray O'Neal; and brother, Darrell O'Neal.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carole O'Neal of Beaumont; daughter, Angela Hurst of Mobile, AL; brothers, Ricky Edward (Peggy) O'Neal and Chuck Murry (Kathy) O'Neal, both of Sebastopol; and sister, Bristina (Eric) McElhenney of Union.
