Services for Mr. Roland Neel, age 86, of Leakesville, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 22, 2025 at Unity Baptist Church in Leakesville.   Mr. Neel passed from this life on December 17, 2025 at his residence.  Bro. Walter Mixon and Bro. Tony Williams will officiate the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Tyson Moreno, Jarrod Hodges, Brent Moreno, Ethan Hodges, Aaron Fountain, and Leonard Herndon.

Mr. Neel was a devoted family man, faithful servant of his community, and a hardworking professional whose life was marked by dedication and love for those around him.  He worked for 19 years with Hosea Weaver and Sons, Inc., and later retired from Scott Paper Company. Even after retirement, Mr. Neel continued to serve his community, working with the Greene County Board of Supervisors until the age of 77.   A faithful member of Unity Baptist Church, Mr. Neel lived his faith through service and commitment. He especially supported the church's mission and community.  In his free time, he found joy in gardening, grilling, and spending precious moments with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved attending their ball games and took great pride in watching them play.  Mr. Neel will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kind spirit, and unwavering love for his family, church, and community.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Vina Mae (Snook) Neel; infant son; parents, Carl and Elouise Neel; son-in-law, Javier Moreno; and sister, Onte Powell Willis.

He is survived by his daughters, Brenda Moreno, Tina Hodges, and Martha Fountain (Robert Ford); grandchildren, Tyson Moreno, Jarrod (Hannah) Hodges, Kara (Jason) Box, Brent (C.C.) Moreno, Ethan (Chelsea) Hodges, Abbie (Chase) Walley, Taylor (Devin) Duvall, Carlie (Preston) Goff, and Aaron Fountain; great grandchildren, Lydia, Tatum, Kinley, Presley, Saylor, Sadie, Kenlee, Addison, Alex, Nova, J.C., Josie, Jase, Kyler, Kason, Emory, Lyndi, Wade, Madalyn, Josie, and Molly; brother, Carl Darrell Neel; devoted nephew, Richard Powell, whom he cherished as a son; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that monetary donations be made to the Unity Baptist Church Building and Grounds Fund.
