Services for Mr. Robert Hodgson, Sr. will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Faith Presbyterian Church in Leakesville.  Rev. Erick Kruger and Rev. Ron Pierce will officiate the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Ken Hodgson, Joseph Hodgson, Robert Hodgson, Jr., Thomas Hodgson, Lynn Robertson, and Preston Churchwell.

Robert E. Hodgson, Sr. passed away peacefully with his family at his side Sunday, April 6, 2025.  He was 59 years young.  He was born in Melrose, MA, graduated from Melrose High School and attended Merrimack College studying marine biology. A trip south brought him and his family to Leakesville, MS, which they now call home amongst many new friends, neighbors and a warm and welcoming church family at Faith Presbyterian.

Known to many as Rob, he found his greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life and the company of those he cherished most. A beloved family man, gifted artist, avid traveler, jack of all trades and devout follower of the Lord, Rob passed away leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love.

Rob's passion for the outdoors and music was evident to all who knew him. Whether spending peaceful days fishing and hunting at the camp, capturing the beauty of nature through his art, or producing music for his friends' bands, he had a profound appreciation for the world around him. Rob approached life with integrity, creativity and a dedication to hard work, setting an impression that will endure in the hearts of those who followed his path.

Above all, Rob's faith and family were the pillars of his life. His devotion to the Lord guided his actions and brought light to those around him. Rob's family was his greatest treasure, and he took immense pride in being a loving husband, father, and life-long friend. His warmth and generosity created an unbreakable bond with his loved ones, and his absence will be deeply felt.

Rob leaves behind cherished memories that will continue to inspire and uplift those fortunate enough to have known him. His life was a testament to kindness, creativity, and faith: a legacy that will live on in our hearts forever.

May his soul find eternal peace and rest in the embrace of the Lord he loved so dearly. He will be missed but never forgotten.
Rob was the beloved son of the late George T. Hodgson Jr. and late Frances G. Hodgson of Melrose, MA; loving brother to the late George T. Hodgson III, the late Kathleen T. Cheney, and the late Michael J. Hodgson, Sr.

Those left to cherish Rob's memory are his beloved wife, Michelle Hodgson of Leakesville, MS; their children, Robert E. Hodgson Jr of Medford, MA, Thomas G. Hodgson of Leakesville, MS, Sarah M. Madden and her husband Robert of Mobile, AL; grandson, Seth Madden of Mobile, AL; sister, Eileen Zaino of Melrose, MA; brother Kenneth Hodgson and his wife Pam of Reading, MA; sister, Joanne Peavey of Haverhill, MA; brother, Joseph Hodgson and his wife Susan of Merrimack, NH; sister, Patricia Silva of Delray Beach, FL; sister, Lorraine Hodgson of Rochester, NH; and in-laws, Richard and Maria Blais, Isaac Blais, and Jessica and Tim Spring, all of Auburn, MA.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and life-long friends.
