Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Pine View Church of God for Mr. Ricky Gerald Edwards, age 59, of Richton.  Mr. Edwards passed from this life on August 13, 2022 at his residence.  Bro. Steve Brewer and Bro. Ricky Palmer will officiate the service with burial to follow in Dykes Chapel Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Brent Brewer, Hunter Brewer, Terry Shows, Greg Hillman, Dale Wayne Shows, Andrew Hudson, and Kayson Smith.

Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Riley and Dorothy Dykes Edwards; maternal grandparents, William Curtis and Susie Mae Hudson Brewer; and nephew, Jeffrey Glenn Hudson, Jr.

He is survived by his parents, Robert G. and Shirley Mae Edwards of Richton; sisters, Rita (Jason) Brewer of Richton and Karen (Jeff) Hudson of Clara; nieces, Brittney (Matthew) Smith of Runnelstown and Hannah (Austin) Dossey of Mt. Olive; nephew, Andrew (Jaclyn) Hudson of Clara; great nephews, Kayson Smith of Runnelstown and Mayson Brooks Hudson Pellegrin of Mt. Olive; and great niece, Maelynn Smith of Runnelstown.
