5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2022 at Jones and Son Chapel at Hattiesburg for Ret. Tech. Sgt. Robert Henry Madden, Sr., age 75, who passed from this life August 1, 2022 at his residence. Bro. Roger Miller will officiate with burial to follow at Chambliss Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brody Bullock, Trey Skeen, John Madden, Jr., Alan Carlos, Darren Beach, Henry McClendon, and Harley French as alternate.

Sgt. Madden was a member of Caney Baptist Church of Lumberton. He served 20 years in the Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic. He also retired from the Lamar County Limb Truck. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was always joking and telling wild stories. He loved to eat and go fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ruthie Madden; son, Robert Madden, Jr.; brothers, Joe Madden and J.L. Madden; sister, Cordelia Skeen; and grandson, Sebastian Beach.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris Madden of Purvis; son, Dennis (Teena) Madden of Lovelock, Nevada; daughters, Rebecca (Leon) Beach of Lumberton and Jennifer (Harley) French of Purvis; sister, Sybil (Dave) Stanton of Cameron, N.C.; grandchildren, Lee (Hunter) Beach of Lumberton, Brandon (Beth) Beach of Lumberton, Robbie Madden of Purvis, Anna (Brody) Bullock of Purvis, and Kurstie (Alan) Carlos of Lumberton; and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Jones and Son Funeral Home of Hattiesburg.
