Services for Mrs. Regina Pearce, age 60, of Richton, will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Richton.  Mrs. Pearce passed from this life on September 15, 2026.  Bro. Kevin Barnette and Bro. Josh Dunn will officiate the service and burial will follow in Frisco Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Shawn Mercer, Arlis Hicks, Paul Walley, Tim Odom, David Walley, and Kenny Bryant.

Regina Pearce was a devoted educator, loving wife and mother, woman of faith, and adventurous spirit.  She dedicated 25 years of her life to serving children and families as a special education teacher and case manager in the Perry County and Jackson County school systems. Even after retirement, her passion for helping others continued. She returned to work with Stride School as an online case manager, where she continued making a difference in the lives of students and families.

Regina was an active and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Richton. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she cherished her church family.

Outside of her professional and church life, Regina found great joy in quilting. She lovingly created many beautiful quilts for her family and friends, giving them gifts that will be treasured as lasting reminders of her love. Regina was also a "gypsy at heart." She loved to travel, camp, and explore new places. She especially enjoyed what she affectionately called "glamping," embracing every opportunity to make memories and enjoy the journey.

Regina was preceded in death by her father, Danny Buckalew, and uncle, Johnny Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Pearce; daughter, Maggie Pearce; mother, Virginia Buckalew; brother, Hugh (Suzanne) Thoms; and sister, Wendy (Junior) Edwards, all of Richton.

Regina will be deeply missed by her family, friends, church family, former students and colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love, kindness, creativity, and adventurous spirit will live on in the many lives she touched and in the memories she leaves behind.
