Services for Mrs. Rachel Collier, age 57, of Richton, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Richton Methodist Church. Rev. Larry Maugh will officiate the service, with burial to follow at Sunset Cemetery.  Mrs. Collier passed from this life on September 3, 2025, in Richton.  Serving as pallbearers will be Aladdin Thornton, James Collier, Robert Collier, Dominic Thornton, Bond Cole, and Cody Cole, with Tommy Rivers and Tim Thornton as alternates. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Thornton, Ryder Thornton, and Dallas Thornton.

Rachel was a woman full of warmth, compassion, and devotion to her family. She loved to travel and go fishing, finding joy in nature and new experiences. She dearly loved her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. Rachel had a special love for animals, often caring for them with the same gentleness she gave to those around her. She also enjoyed gospel music and attending concerts.  Rachel's presence will be missed deeply by all who had the blessing of knowing her, but her love and memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Edwin Cole.

Rachel is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Richard Collier of Richton; children, James (Kathleen) Collier of Richton, Barbara (Aladdin) Thornton of Fruitdale, AL, and Robert Collier of Richton; mother, Dorthy Cole of Richton; brothers, John Cole, Steve Cole, and Bond (Elizabeth) Cole, all of Richton; and her cherished grandchildren, Hunter Thornton, Ryder Thornton, and Dallas Thornton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dr. Edwin Cole Scholarship Fund at Jones College in Ellisville, Mississippi, in honor of Rachel's beloved father.
