A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2026 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Leakesville for Mr. Peter Keith Thompson, age 71, of Richton, who passed away on April 15, 2026, at his residence. Bro. Greg Foster will officiate the service.

Pete is survived by his wife, Krista Thompson of Richton; stepdaughter, Charley Freeman of Petal; and 2 grandchildren, Samuel Rylee and Mackenzie Rylee both of Petal.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Morgan Elizabeth Thompson.

Peter was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Leakesville. He retired from banking after 25 years of service as a branch manager and was also a member of the NRA.  He was a former police officer in Chicago, IL for over five years and was an avid Alabama "Crimson Tide" fan.
