Services celebrating the life of Mrs. Paulette Bradley McLeod, age 78, of Leakesville, will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Leakesville.  Interment will follow in the McLeod - Magnolia Cemetery.  She was born January 22, 1944 to Andrew J. and Ovetta Bradley in Leakesville and passed from this life on September 3, 2022 in Miramar Beach, FL.

Paulette had a passion for learning and helping others learn, which was the driving force for her teaching career that spanned over 30 years in Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, and North Carolina.  She always strived to challenge young minds and see children excel.  She was everyone's cheerleader and always had a positive outlook.  She was an avid collector of antiques, which she and her husband enjoyed traveling to acquire.  She was an avid Mississippi State athletics fan, following all sports, especially girls basketball. Throughout her life, her faith was always at the forefront, as she was always active in her church and community, whether teaching vacation bible school, volunteering in schools, or helping others.  She and John are members of the First Baptist Church of Starkville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew J. and Ovetta Bradley; her mother and father in law, John L. and Velma McLeod Sr.; her brother and sister in law, Donald and Janet Bradley; her brother, Devell Bradley; and her niece, Cheryl Bradley.

Those left to cherish her memories include her beloved husband of over 50 years, John Levi McLeod Jr.; her daughter, Amanda McLeod of Miramar Beach, FL; her sister and brother in law, Emma Ann and Dickie Wilkerson of Leakesville; her sister in law, Berlene Bradley of Leakesville; a host of nieces and nephews; and she was "Grand" aunt to Jax, Jet, and Wilk.

Visitation for Mrs. McLeod will be held from 11:00 until 12:00 on Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Leakesville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
