Services for Mr. Paul Otto Walley, age 81, of Beaumont will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton.  Mr. Walley passed from this life on October 5, 2023.  Bro. Phillip Erkhart and Bro. Devin McIlwain will officiate the service and burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Craig McArn, Jamie Freeman, Thomas Furby, Luke Lott, Dan Powell, Terry Bexley with Cory McLain, Steven Bexley, and Dustin Mizell serving as alternates.

Mr. Paul Otto Walley was born on July 15, 1942 in Richton, Mississippi.  In his lifetime, he worked for more than 20 years at Ingalls Shipyard and owned a Brandy Barbeque Restaurant in Pascagoula, Mississippi. He later sold out and moved to Ranger, Texas and opened a truckstop business for a number of years before he closed it and moved back to Mississippi in 1994.  He then started running a fish market farm before going on the road and working construction for the next 20 years. He came down with the big C(cancer). It stayed in remission for 10 years and came back this year.  Paul loved his family, cooking out, and listening to music.

Mr. Walley was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Anna Walley; brothers, Carnol Walley and Elbert Walley; sisters, Etta Walley, Verniece Walley, Mary Lois Walley, and Anna (Boots) Britton; and grandson, Jerread Grant Freeman.

He is surived by his wife, Annette Walley of Beaumont; daughters, Brandy (Bubba) Stinson of Richton, Patricia White of Lucedale, Hope (Jamie) Freeman of Beaumont, Shorty (Donald) Thurston of Beaumont, Juanita Cowart of Beaumont, and Dawn (Craig) McArn of Richton; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brother, Harry Wayne (Clima) Walley; and a host of nieces, nephews, and grand pups.
