Services for Mr. Paul Johnson, age 77, of Ovett will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton.  Mr. Johnson passed from this life on August 30, 2024 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  Rev. Colon Rowell will officiate the service and burial will follow in Tiger Creek Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Scotty McMahan, Chance Williamson, Michael Creel, Wesley Jones, Michael Edwards, Andrew Jones, and Elvin Creel as alternate.

Mr. Johnson loved his family very much.  He also loved to fish and was a mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Johnson; daughter, Jessica Johnson; grandson, Triston Williamson; parents, L.C. and Zettie Johnson; and brothers, Richard Johnson and Gerry Johnson.

He is survived by his daughters, Paula Williamson of Wayne County and Mattie Johnson of Ovett; grandsons, Chad Williamson of Ovett and Devin Williamson of Ovett; granddaughters, Alexis Williamson of Ovett, Kaylee Hertenstein of Laurel, Mersadies Williamson of Ovett, Jesslynn Harrison of Laurel, and Trinity Williamson of Ovett; sisters, Sandra Creel, Janice Sims, and Barbara (Elvin) Creel, all of Ovett.
