Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Jones and Son Chapel of Moselle for Petty Officer 3rd Class Norman Michael Evans, age 21, of Moselle. Petty Officer 3rd Class Evans passed from this life on August 9, 2024 in Rota, Spain. Bro. Cliff Lazenby will officiate with burial to follow in the Shelton Baptist Church Cemetery. The United States military will serve as pallbearers.

Michael was born on April 5, 2003, to Norman and Jennie Evans. He graduated from South Jones High School in 2021. While in high school he was in the marching band where he played the trumpet. In 2019 the South Jones Marching Band went to the state competition where they won the State Band Championship.

After Michael graduated from high school, he joined the United States Navy. He loved serving his country, video games and boxing.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Willard Clark.

He is survived by his parents; brother, Roderick Lee Hunter (Jackie) Evans of Beaufort, SC; sister, Samantha Presley Evans of Moselle; grandparents, Cleon and Wanda Evans of Moselle and Patricia Clark of Biloxi and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Moselle.
