Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2026, in the Sanford Missionary Baptist Church for Mr. Norman Claude Eavenson, age 85, of Moselle. Mr. Eavenson went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 15, 2026, in Moselle. Bro. Clay Williamson, Bro. Wayne Woolwine and Bro. Clay "Cornbread" Ingram will officiate with the burial to follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Eavenson, Andrew Eavenson, Chris Eavenson, Dwayne Eavenson, Stevie Eavenson and Linwood Eavenson. Honorary pallbearers will be John Loveless, Barry Lowery, Richard Woolwine and Greg Sullivan.

Claude was born on December 20, 1940, in Mississippi to C.E. "Buck" and Magdalene Stringer Eavenson. He was a member of the Sanford Missionary Baptist Church. Claude retired from building contractor and farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debra Ann Eavenson; granddaughter, Amanda Eavenson and brothers, James, Glenn and Gerald Eavenson.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Eavenson of Moselle; sons, Kevin (Ginger) Eavenson of Lumberton and Keith (Wanda) Eavenson of Moselle; grandchildren, Abby Eavenson of Lumberton, Andrew Eavenson of Magee, Trent Cordelle of Moselle, Matthew Eavenson of Seminary, Sarah Baxter of Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Sawyer Eavenson of Lumberton, Ashleigh Eavenson of Lumberton, Alex Eavenson of Lumberton, Harrison Eavenson of Lumberton, Kailey Eavenson of Moselle, Maebry Eavenson of Seminary, Weston Eavenson of Seminary and Grayson Baxter of Arkansas and brother, Mitchell (Elaine) Eavenson of Moselle.
