Services for Mrs. Nora Lou McMichael will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton.  Bro. Danny Newell will officiate the service and burial will follow in Eastside Baptist Church Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Robertson, Reagan Robertson, Leonard Quigley, Jason Quigley, Bailey Cooper, Jr., and Cameron Robertson.

Nora Lou McMichael, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025, at the age of 90, at her Petal residence. Born on January 30, 1935 in Richton, Mississippi, Nora was the daughter of the late Hester Newell and Ruthie Mayo. She was one of four children, joining siblings Athel, Louise, and Wilson Newell, all of whom preceded her in death.

Nora's life was marked by love, resilience, and dedication. She married three times, first to Louie Kitchens, then to Eugene Robertson, and finally to Jesse McMichael.  Though all three husbands preceded her in death, her time as a devoted housewife to Jesse, her soulmate, was the joy of her life.

From her marriages, Nora welcomed three sons: Johnny Kitchens, Mike Robertson, and Eddie Robertson. She was predeceased by her son Mike.

Nora's warm spirit extended beyond her family. She worked at Gibson's Pharmacy and Burkett's Restaurant, where her kindness touched many.  She found strength and comfort in her family and Christian faith.

Nora leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She is survived by her sons, Johnny Kitchens and Eddie Robertson; her daughter-in-law Alison Robertson; daughter-in-law Cissy Robertson; five grandchildren, Amanda Robertson Kemp, Nate Robertson, Reagan Robertson, Jennifer Headley, and Cameron Robertson; and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory forward.

Nora was the last of her generation in her immediate family, having outlived her parents, siblings, husbands, and one son. Her life, spanning nine decades, was a testament to perseverance and the quiet power of devotion. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
