Mrs. Lott, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She will be remembered for her faithful service to her community, her devotion to her family, and the love she freely gave to everyone she met.
Mrs. Lott was a faithful member of Fairhope Missionary Baptist Church. She devoted 33 years to serving the students and families of Perry County as a teacher before retiring. Her commitment to education continued through her 11 years of service on the Perry County School Board. She was also a longtime member of the Perry County Farm Bureau Board and a member of the Arlington Garden Club. She especially enjoyed the fellowship of the Perry County retired school teachers “Haha” Club.
Above all, Mrs. Lott treasured her family. She was a loving “Gran Gran” to her two grandsons, whom she loved very much, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She loved all of her family deeply and was, in return, dearly loved by all who knew her. Her kindness, warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Lillian Lee.
She is survived by her husband, Allen Lott of Arlington; sons, Yancey (Krystal) Lott and Corey “Big 10” Lott, both of Arlington; grandsons, Elliot Lott and Ian Lott, both of Arlington; brothers, Marlin (Katie) Lee of Arlington, Kelcey (Jackie) Lee of Beaumont, and Reggie (Debbie) Lee of Arlington; and sisters-in-law, Billie Faye Watford of Purvis, Valene Lott, Freida Byrd, and Kathy (Max) Foreman, all of Beaumont.
Mrs. Lott leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, and unconditional love. She will be lovingly remembered by her family, friends, former students, and all those whose lives she touched. Her memory will remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know and love her.
