Mrs. Hill was a devoted educator, faithful servant of God, loving mother and grandmother, and cherished friend whose life was marked by service to her family, church, and community.
She dedicated more than 35 years to teaching fifth and sixth grade math in the Richton School District, where she made a lasting impact on generations of students. Her love for education extended beyond the classroom, as she also founded a Junior Gardener Club at Richton High School, sharing her passion for gardening with young people.
A faithful member of First Baptist Church of Richton for more than 80 years, Mrs. Hill served as a Sunday School teacher and remained devoted to her church family throughout her life. Her faith was an important part of who she was and guided her commitment to serving others.
Mrs. Hill was also an active member of the Red Hat Society and the Richton Home and Garden Club. She enjoyed playing Bunco with her friends, spending time with those she loved, and cheering on her beloved Mississippi State Bulldogs. Above all, she treasured her family and will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and love touched many lives.
Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, B.A. Hill; parents, Willard and Georgia Brock; and brothers, Tom Brock and George Brock.
She is survived by her son, Jeff (Patricia) Edwards of Tanner Williams, AL; daughter, Angie (Pete) Vanderford of Neely; grandchildren, Lauren (Ryan) Dahlgren of Braselton, GA, Lindsey (Shelby) Irwin of Lucedale, and Faith Vanderford of Neely; great-grandchildren, Sorin Irwin, Noah Dahlgren, Daniel Dahlgren, and Caleb Dahlgren; nephew, Steve Brock; and great-niece, Ginger Freeman.
Mrs. Hill leaves behind a legacy of faith, dedication, and love that will continue to live on through the many students she taught, the church and community she served, and the family and friends who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
