Services for Mrs. Constance Carol “Connie” Walley, age 93, of Sand Hill, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Sand Hill. Bro. Nick Chatham and Bro. Kyle Walley will officiate the service and burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Samuel Graham, Richmond Walley, Jonathan Pemberton, Drew Stringer, Joseph Wallace, and Shawn Morgan. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Byrd, Darryl Byrd, Walter Bailey, Jeremy Hanners, Kerry Spalding, and Eddie Spalding.

Mrs. Walley passed away peacefully on the morning of October 21, 2026, with her daughter at her side. She was an active member and servant of First Baptist Church of Sand Hill, Mississippi for over sixty-five years. She served as pianist for many years and later as organist. She also taught Sunday School for young girls and loved decorating the church for many occasions. As well as being involved with her church, Mrs. Walley was a cosmetologist for sixty years and was very active in several organizations in Greene County. "Mrs. Connie", as she was known by all, taught school for twenty-three years, was a member of The Ladies Variety Club for thirty-three years, and in her later years, enjoyed working and helping the community with the Greene County food bank, "Friends Helping Friends". She loved serving and using her talents wherever and whenever possible.

Mrs. Walley was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur B. Smith and Verda V. (Brewer) Smith; her husband, Richard Hoyt Walley; a brother, Ronald W. Smith; a sister, Verda Boyce Smith; and her son, Dr. Robin H. Walley.

Mrs. Walley is survived by a brother, Boyd Smith (Dot Smith); her daughter, Denna Shane Graham (Steve Graham); grandsons, Samuel Graham (Corinne Graham) and Richmond Walley (Elizabeth Walley); granddaughters, Kristen Pemberton (Jonathan Pemberton), Claire Walley, Lauren Stringer (Drew Stringer), and a special family friend, Jessica Wallace (Joseph Wallace).

Mrs. Walley, affectionately known as "Mimmie", also leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
