Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022, in the Jones and Son Chapel of Moselle for Mr. Michael Justin Shirley, Sr., age 66, of Ellisville who passed from this life on June 24, 2022, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

Mike was an accomplished musician and loved playing the guitar. He was a big Beatles fan. He was such a friendly person who never met a stranger. He loved sports especially the New Orleans Saints and coached little league. He recently retired from a 20 year plus career in the tire business.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Justin and Elsie Shirley and wife, Cheryl Russum Shirley. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Cothran of Ellisville; son, Michael Justin (Emily) Shirley, II of Hattiesburg; stepdaughter, Shannon (Tim) Cothran of Ellisville; stepsons, Sonny (Jessica) Cothran of Nashville, TN, Rex (April) Hartfield of Wiggins and Caleb (Jacob) Hartfield of Gulfport; grandchildren, Kynlee, Cash, Kain, Saige, Michaila, Sarah, Braiden, Brody, Graycen and Raegen and special mention to mother-in-law Carolyn Russum.

Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Jones and Son Funeral Home.
