A memorial service celebrating the life of Mr. Michael L. "Mike" McLain, age 73, of the Sand Hill community, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at the Sand Hill Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Mr. McLain was a hard working, dedicated family man, who never let anything slow him down.  He worked for many years as a farmer before becoming a paramedic at Perry County General Hospital.  While there, he went back to school, eventually becoming a Registered Nurse and going to work at Forrest General Hospital in the ICU before transitioning to the E.R. where he spent the remainder of his time.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Michelle Hill; his parents, Callis and Mary McLain; and his brother, Paul McLain.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon McLain; his sons, Charles David McLain, Adam Daniel McLain, and Michael Anthony McLain; his daughter, Sara Elizabeth McInnis; his brothers, Leon McLain and George McLain; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, also at the church.
