Graveside services for Mr. Maurice Ellis Posey, Sr., age 104, of Runnelstown will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Forrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Petal.  Mr. Posey passed from this life on February 25, 2026 in Richton.  Bro. Ronald Nowell will officiate the service.

Mr. Posey was a member of First Baptist Church of Runnelstown and a veteran of the United States Army, where he served in World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Posey; son, Maurice E. Posey, Jr.; brothers, Wayne Posey and Cecil Posey; and sisters, Marjorie Beavers and Betty Ann Glass.

He is survived by his daughter, Ann Woodward of Culpepper, VA; grandchildren, Gary (Kerstin) Cornwell of Petal, Sandi Butler of Culpepper, VA, Jay (Michael) Woodward of Culpepper, VA, Dana Posey of Virginia Beach, VA, and Angie Posey of Virginia Beach, VA; 10 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Ruby Luther of Dumphries, VA.
