Services for Rev. Matthew Keith Stringer, age 54, of Richton, will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, August 24, 2026 at First Pentecostal Church of Richton.  Rev. Stringer passed from this life on August 20, 2026.  Bro. Shane Giadrosich, Bro. Scott Morris, and Bro. Scott Cooksey will officiate the service and burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Bo Ruffin, David Paris, Colby Meadows, Rob Cancel, Brandon Davis, Dickie Dewitt, and Jonathan Malone.

Matthew "Keith" Stringer was born December 15, 1971, in Jackson, Mississippi.  Keith was a loyal employee of the Town of Richton and a man who loved his family deeply.  Some of the things he loved most were often the simplest, such as playing whatever game BB wanted to play, hunting and fishing, and watching Ole Miss sports with his boys.  Keith was deeply thankful for his church family and for the love they showed him.  He was thankful for friends who cared enough to tell him the hard truth and for family who never stopped being family and continued to surround him with love.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Victoria Stringer; and his father, Terrell Stringer.

Keith is survived by his children, Dylon Stringer (Hanna) of Petal, Mississippi, Devin Stringer (Madison) of Purvis, Mississippi, and Blakely Stringer of Richton, Mississippi; his grandchildren, Drew and Leyton; his mother, Gloria Stringer of Albany, Louisiana; and his sister, Amanda Stringer Cooksey (Scott) of Albany, Louisiana.
